Alex Braga is a poliedric and original artist, ranging from performative to conceptual art.
Born in Novara in 1976, he has lived in many cities in Italy and in the USA and has been active on the audiovisual scene since 1995, focusing on Music, Radio and Television.
Braga has created with prof. Francesco Riganti and prof. Antonio Laudani, from University of RomaTre, A.M.I., Artificial Musical Intelligence, the world's first A.I. capable of hacking the improvisation code of any musician playing any instrument just after few notes. A.M.I. is able to create infinite alternative tracks that improvise along, without any problem of scales, harmony, pitch or BPM, in REAL TIME : using the concept and the power of the new instrument A.M.I., Braga has become the first orchestra conductor of the future, creating real time orchestrations with infinite virtual players at his fingertips. His performances with A.M.I., along with "hacked" star pianists such as Danilo Rea or Francesco Tristano, have been supported by Google Arts&Culture and have been world widely acclaimed from the prestigious RomaEuropa Festival to the Centre Pompidou, the temple of contemporary art in Paris, where he closed the exibhition Codèr Le Monde alongside great masters like Ryoji Ikeda.
Since 2009 his main focus becomes conceptual art with the creation of NIGHTGEOSESSIONS, a multimedial show of art and sustainability. With the support of MIBAC, the italian Ministry of Culture, Braga and his show have performed in the most prestigious artistic insititutions in Italy, such as the GNAM - The National Gallery of Modern Art, and the MAXXI, the new Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome.

The performance, that opened the festival Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, followed by a troupe of videocameras, spreads inside the city center with each musician inside a car, both playing music and noise, manipulated in real time by Braga on a big stage with a big screen in Piazzale Michelangelo.
