For several years, Alex has been actively engaged in activities related to the music industry under Connect4Climate, a World Bank Group Multi-Donor Trust Fund, supported by Italy’s Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security and Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, that drives climate action through advocacy, partnerships, and creative communications.
He served as a main consultant for the Music4Climate section, fostering meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders from some of the world’s leading schools and institutions in the sector. His work is focused on leveraging the power of music to promote climate action and raise awareness of sustainability challenges, using innovative and collaborative approaches.
Among the various events and initiatives spearheaded under his guidance:
December 2023: Organized the panel MUSIC4CLIMATE – Italian Music Starts the Green-Tech Revolution, presented at the Italian Pavilion during COP28 in Dubai. This event highlighted the role of Italy's music industry in pioneering sustainable technologies and fostering dialogue around green innovation.
April 2024: Coordinated music-related events during the Planet Week Turin, a week-long series of activities focused on sustainability and environmental awareness. As part of these efforts, Alex facilitated a partnership with the Torino Jazz Festival and the G. Verdi Conservatory, integrating climate-themed programming into these prestigious music institutions and cultural events.
